Broad-leaved and deciduous tree, reaching 5-10 m in height. It is also named whistle due to its branches that have a soft core and after removing it they become whistles. It is included in the list of medicinal plants as per to the Medicinal Plants Act.
Discover the Black Elderberry in the "Banya Lozenets" garden. If you are in Sofia between the middle of April and the end of May and you do not manage to notice large yellowish-white inflorescences, then take a deep breath and boldly follow your nose.
