Vasil Levski's mulberry tree

Mulberry has been grown and cultivated as a fruit crop since ancient times. It originates from East Asia. Reaches a heights of 15-20 m and an age of 200-300 years. In addition to the delicious fruits, the mulberry can be easily recognized by the distinct shape of its leaves. They are a staple food for silkworm caterpillars. Mulberry is an extremely gas-resistant species, suitable for the contemporary urban conditions, but is not recommended for street or alley plantings.
